Fake texts - Elevated Financial and Prudential Financial Services

Elevated Financial Services and Prudential Financial Services

elevated-financial-services

A text message is attempting to lure consumers in to prepaying fees for a fake loan claiming to be from either “Elevated Financial Services” or “Prudential Financial Services”.

Unfortunately, we have had reported losses of $885 and we can assume there will be more who haven’t reported them yet.

Initial contact is via SMS from 0414 011 686 offering a personal loan and a request to contact them via email.  If you attempt to call the mobile number it rings out.

Although we don’t recommend you ever contact a scammer, a savvy consumer kept the email for us to show you when they realised it was a ruse.

When WA ScamNet team did a search for the email address, it led to another phone number 0405 047 353 being listed on Reverse Australia where consumers reported receiving the below text message:

“Elevated Loan Services are currently financing loans with low interest rates & no credit checks. To apply, Pls Email us at info@elevatedloanservices.com

We can assume there will be a similar one from Prudential Financial Services.

The email states the consumer must pay a fee to be awarded the loan, which is in-keeping with the previously reported personal loan scams:

A search for “Elevated Financial Services” brings up nothing online, there seems to be no online presence for the company at all.

The email lists their building address as “Exchange Plaza, 2 The Esplanade, Perth WA 6000”. However, WA ScamNet has been advised there is no business by this name in the Exchange Tower. The Exchange Tower Services have also confirmed they have had numerous enquiries from suspicious consumers about Elevated Financial Services.

The phone number 08 6552 2717 also listed in the email has one report online from someone advising the call was unwanted spam from “loan sharks”. The number when called seems to have the dial tone of a VOIP number.

The Prudential Financial Services email shows a Melbourne address, yet the 101 Collins St building website does not list them as a tenant at all.

Please be aware this group is not to be confused with the American company Prudential Financial legitimately operating in the United States, Prudent Finance in South Perth or Prudential Finance in Sydney.

Be alert because in typical scam fashion, the scammers will reinvent their scam by changing a business name and contact details to try not to get caught.

If you or someone you know have given money to this scam, please contact WA ScamNet on 1300 304 405.
